Belize Financial Services Mission to Brazil
A Belize financial services mission took place in São Paulo, Brazil, from 14 to 18 September 2026 to build direct links and strengthen partnerships between the financial services sectors of Belize and Brazil. Finance Belize, the Financial Services Commission (FSC) Belize and the Belize Companies and Corporate Affairs Registry (BCCAR) coordinated the mission and jointly presented Belize’s regulatory framework, corporate services and investment opportunities.
As part of the mission, the delegation met with representatives of the private sector and government agencies. The discussions covered market development, regulation and supervision, investment facilitation, corporate services and potential avenues for institutional and private sector cooperation. The programme included the Belize Financial Services Seminar, held on 16 September 2026 at the Hilton São Paulo Morumbi. More than 20 stakeholders attended, including members of STEP Brazil, wealth managers, investment advisers and other financial professionals from Latin America and the Caribbean.
The delegation also participated in the STEP LatAm Conference, being held in São Paulo from 16 to 18 September 2026. The regional conference brings together trust, estate and investment advisers, lawyers, accountants, bankers and other professionals involved in planning, structuring and managing wealth in Latin America. Belize’s exhibit is giving delegates direct access to information on the jurisdiction’s financial services offering and enabling the delegation to engage with specialists and intermediaries who advise international clients, families and businesses.
The mission forms part of Belize’s wider strategy to deepen international engagement and position the country as a trusted and competitive financial services centre in Central America and the Caribbean. It is intended to support closer institutional collaboration, strategic partnerships, stronger private-sector engagement and greater cross-border trade in financial services.
