3rd Annual AML/CFT Conference 2026
The 3rd Annual AML/CFT Conference was hosted by the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), the National Anti-Money Laundering Committee (NAMLC), the University of Belize, and the US Embassy. Finance Belize was proud to be participating, showcasing an exhibit booth alongside our partners visiting Belize for the conference, Trans World Compliance and Foodman CPAs & Advisors.
This conference plays a crucial role in strengthening our collective efforts to combat financial crime and enhance compliance standards, ensuring that Belize maintains its global leadership in compliance meeting 38 out of 40 recommendations in its 4th round Mutual Evaluation Review by the Caribbean Financial Action Task Force (CFATF) in 2025. Attending such events provides valuable insights, networking opportunities, and the latest updates on AML/CFT regulations, which are essential for maintaining integrity and trust in the financial services sector.
Recapping the 3rd Annual AML/CFT Conference
What an incredible journey over three inspiring days! Here are some highlights from this year’s event:
Day 1
: Kicked off with our #ComplianceConnect Mixer in partnership with Trans World Compliance and Foodman CPAs & Advisors – a fantastic opportunity to network, share insights, and build meaningful connections within the AML/CFT financial services community. Day 2: Featured several engaging panel discussions including the panel on Making CRS and FATCA Work Day-to-Day moderated by Finance Belize CEO Hero Balani. The discussion provided valuable insights into the importance of meeting global compliance standards and evolving regulations. Day 3: We closed out the conference with more networking opportunities, fostering new collaborations and strengthening existing partnerships with key industry stakeholders.
